The Expressive Figure with David Limrite

“The Expressive Figure” a 4-day workshop in October 7 - 10 instructed by local artist and mentor David Limrite. Limrite’s work combines virtuoso drawing with cathartic expressionism. 

He uses emotional content to give his figures power and intensity, underscoring their emotion through passionate handling of materials which animates the figures and suggests energy between the forms.

10 artists will work from a live model and experiment with technique and process, surface and chance. The goal will be to strike a balance between structure and accident, restraint and recklessness and being deliberate as well as relying on instinct.
